Kwara State University Cut-Off Mark For 2025/2026

The school management of Kwara State University (KWASU) has announced its official JAMB cut-off mark for the 2025/2026 academic session to be 160 or above. Candidates whose University of choice is KWASU are hereby advised to make sure they scored nothing less than 160 in their LAMB before obtaining the application form. The application process guideline will be provided below.

History Of Kwara State University(KWASU)

Kwara State University (KWASU) was established in 2009 under the leadership of Governor Bukola Saraki, with the groundwork laid by a planning committee inaugurated in 2007. The institution acquired its certificate from the National Universities Commission (NUC) in February 2009 and commenced operations the following October. Key milestones include the founding of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in 2010 and the move from a collegiate structure to faculties in 2019.

KWASU Admission Requirements and Procedures

As provided on the school’s official website, the application processes and requirements are listed below;

Kwara State University, Malete, invites all UTME/DE candidates in the following categories for the 2025/2026 Pre-Admission Screening Registration:

  • Candidates whose first choice of institution is Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete.
  • Candidates who wish to choose KWASU as their first choice. This category of candidates, however, is required to change their choice of institution to KWASU on the JAMB Portal before the Pre-Admission Screening Registration.

Candidates are also to note that:

  • Offer of Admission will be based on an aggregate of UTME/DE score (70%) and five (5) relevant O-level grades (30%).
  • Any wrong entries will automatically disqualify a candidate.
  • To be eligible, candidates must have five (5) O-level credits in relevant subjects at not more than two (2) sittings, except for the MBBS program, which requires only one sitting.
  • Candidates awaiting O-level results can also apply, but they will not be considered for admission unless their results are made available before the end of the admission exercise.

Online registration starts from Friday, 18th July 2025, and continues till further notice.

REGISTRATION/SCREENING FEES

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) only.

KWASU REGISTRATION AND SCREENING PROCEDURE

  1. Visit http://portal.kwasu.edu.ng and click on “Click here to apply”.
  2. Click the Undergraduate link at the top menu bar.
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click on “Continue”.
  4. Complete the basic information page (Please note: Enter only a valid personal phone number and email address) and click next.
  5. On the payment review page, click on “Make Payment,” and this will take you to the payment page where you can provide your ATM card details.
  6. Enter your ATM card (MasterCard or Visa) number and other details as appropriate and submit.
  7. Enter the “OTP code” sent to your phone and click continue to complete your payment.
  8. After a successful payment, click on “Main login” on the portal, enter your JAMB registration number and Surname as password.
  9. Click on “Login to dashboard” and complete your registration.
  10. Ensure you print the completed registration form and payment receipt.

NOTE: You can re-query your payment attempts if you have been debited and the network failed while completing your payment. Enter your JAMB registration number and phone number, press the tab button to display a Re-query interface below the page, and then re-query your unsuccessful payment attempt. In addition to all the requirements stated above, candidates are to note that final admission into the University is based on meeting the University’s and the Academic Programs’ minimum scores in UTME/DE and on the availability of spaces within the NUC-approved admission quota for Kwara State University, Malete.

Candidates are also to note that the falsification of citizenship certificates or any other documents will lead to disqualification and prosecution.
